Reading this article in BBC,  the need to set the context of creativity in a new framework became quite evident in my mind.

  1. Creativity is fast changing from an individual's domain to a platform of sharing, amongst a group of passionate individuals.
  2. Accepting the rules of collaboration is a reality. People want to be co-creators and  be involved with the process rather than be passive.
  3. Observation and empathy are the drivers of creativity. It is about understanding what pains consumers are going thro' when they use your products. The ability to convert "unexpressed" needs into products and ideas is creativity. Consumers are willing to share and be a part of this development process. It is upto us to successfully engage them in this process. The 'first-to-know', 'together-we-build' companies will be the leaders of the future.
  4. This collaborative process, challenges the traditional roles of people and we need to look at loose structures to enable creativity within organizations.
  5. Organizations need to build new methods of rewarding such loose structures which may not sit under one-roof as in the past.

Thanks  Chris Lawer for this article.
