Make your campaigns a dialogue rather than a monologue

Traditional advertising campaigns for brands are changing - encouraging customers to  participate seems to be the way forward. P&G's campaign for Crest seeks customers to vote for the best flavour of toothpaste and new digitial mediums are making it easy for brands to interact with their customers.

What it simply means is that the days of "informing" about the brand benefits are over. "Co-Creating" campaigns with customers will be the future.
