Membership for the newest thinking in customer loyalty – SHOP SCAN SAVE – has more than quadrupled since the start of a TV advertising campaign three weeks ago.
SHOP SCAN SAVE enables shoppers to receive money saving offers to their mobile phones by text message, which can then be redeemed at the till using a barcode on their phone screen. New money saving promotions are in place every week, and members can also request deals by texting a brand or product name to receive back any current offers on these or related items.
Marc Lewis, CEO of The Light Agency, which operates the scheme, said:
“Getting 7,000 consumers to join a loyalty and savings scheme in just a few weeks is simply unheard of. If you multiply the success we’ve had up to a national scale, SHOP SCAN SAVE already has more members than other leading customer loyalty schemes which have been running for years!
“Mobile phones are the one item that most consumers carry with them at all times – which makes them the natural and obvious medium for communicating to shoppers the right offers at the right time. Which can only mean better targeting and more successful consumer marketing.
