Avaya Global Connect, India launches Customer Responsiveness Awards

Avaya, India has just launched Customer Responsiveness Awards. Link here to know more.

The objective of the awards is to select and award the best customer responsiveness policies and practices of companies in India across different verticals. It is designed by Prof. Jankiraman of IIM, Lucknow with AC Nielsen, Economic Times and E&Y as partners.The awards are restricted to a couple of verticals.

But, I seriously think it is a neat idea whose execution could have been better:

  • The homepage does not give me enough information so as to generate interest, seriousness and the prestige associated with this award
  • The questionnaire is freely downloadable. If this is a restricted award for select verticals, then the questionnaire should also be restricted only for select verticals. That's  a best-in-class internet practice. First, it should check the veracity and profile of the download request and only then the questionnaire must be downloadable
  • There is not too much buzz for key companies to visit this url and download the questionnaire from this site. I would be keen to know how many companies actually did it.
  • It does not have an FAQ section at all. Simple questions a participating company executive would have in his/her mind

I personally think that this is taking an idea half way through and not doing enough justice to it.
